    WinShape Camp Volunteers

Interested in volunteering for WinShape Camp?

Donate breakfast foods, dinner foods, volunteer to help with campers (see list below), assemble lunches, adopt/encourage a WinShape staffer during the week or greet the camp staff when they arrive on campus. Contact Heather (heather@svbc.cc) today!

Have little kids but want to serve with WinShape Camp?
Not a problem! We will have childcare for children of volunteers in the mornings. Please let us know if you would like to help out!

Volunteers may serve in multiple capacities, as every Crew is utilized only at specific times of the day:

Team Time & Skills Volunteers - Serve alongside the WinShape Camps Staff as an extra set of hands during Team Time and Skills.

Rec Crew - Help the Rec Director with set-up, execution and breakdown of Connectreation.

Kitchen Crew - Lunch prep and delivery, plus snack twice a day.

Water Crew - Ensure that water coolers remain full and replenished throughout the day.

Registration & Village Training - Registration area - hand out nametags, CFA FFFD RSVP cards, security cards, and explain the registration process. Village Training - build relationships with campers while registration volunteers help parents start their day better.

Check Point - Be the “face” of WinShape Camps during the camp day.

Check Out - Volunteers serving with Check Out help parents understand the process, and ensure camper safety is the priority.

Counseling Team - Have deep spiritual conversations with campers on the spot. We pray many campers want to trust Jesus for the first time and we need volunteers to help facilitate this.

Friday Family Fun Day Team - Volunteers can help with everything from set-up to greeting guests arriving on campus for the day.

Bus Drivers - Drive busses for our Mission Hope for Kids Campers.

If you cannot commit to every Sunday, that's ok!!! We need fill in's, too, and would be so excited to see you when you are available! Please see or contact Ashley Jones Purcell (apurcell@svbc.cc), Brittany Kelly (brittany@svbc.cc), Danielle Tuttle (danielle@svbc.cc) or myself (heather@svbc.cc) for more info!

Thank you so much to all who already give their precious time to our littles. You are so greatly appreciated.

  • Say "YES" to VBS

This summer help us take our kids on a journey to learn how to . . .

    • Listen to God
    • Talk to God
    • And even share their faith

We will hit the road with Paul and ask the same questions he asked while making some incredible discoveries along the way. Grab your gear, check your GPS and get ready to Walk This Way!

Our Theme Verse is: "When you walk, nothing will slow you down. When you run, you won’t trip and fall. Hold on to my teaching and don’t let it go. Guard it well because it is your life." Proverbs 4:12-13

Each summer we depend heavily on our amazing volunteers to help create an atmosphere of fun, learning, excitement, and memory-making moments for each of our children who attend VBS.

Please say "YES!" to making an impact on our next generation as we share Jesus with our community through this week-long, evening event!

    Positions:

    • Elementary Crew Leaders: Join a small group of 8-10 age specific children to build relationships, engage in conversation, act as a tour guide as the children move from station to station (crafts, missions, Faith Skills, and worship) and help with crowd control for the week. All ages (middle school and up) are welcome to assist us in this position!
    • Preschool Crew Leaders: Join a small group of 6-8 preschoolers as they travel from station to station to create crafts, hear the Bible Story, play games, sing songs, and do mission projects.
    • Preschool Rec: Join our rec team as we help preschoolers move and groove with the Good News!

All VBS volunteers need to complete a background check form.

    Volunteer Meeting:

If you’re volunteering the week of VBS we ask that you come to our volunteer meeting on June 8th at 6:30 p.m. See you then!
